Introducing Ayo Kimathi
The experience of living in an environment where the economic, social, and political reality of the Black people was in the hands of a bold Black activist turned responsible politician like had a profound effect on Mr. Kimathi. He has always seen a predominately Black population as an environment conducive to sponsoring strong Black representation and using it to produce socio-economic and political progress.
In 2022, Kimathi began challenging bills he saw as dangerous at the legislature in Annapolis, MD. Since then he has been a fierce opponent of MD bills designed to eliminate parental rights to protect children, ignore the interests of Black residents, and steer tax dollars away from Black institutions.
The 41st district became a place Mr. Kimathi has grown fond of and looks forward to bringing strong representation. If you want a person to represent your community, Mr. Kimathi is the man.
